Indian Restaurant Near Heathrow Terminal 5 and Slough: Where to Eat Before or After Your Flight

Heathrow dining guide3 min readUpdated October 2026
Quick answer

Terminal 5 has plenty of places to eat inside the airport. But if you would rather sit down to a proper Pakistani or Indian meal away from the terminal, before a flight, after landing or between shifts, Dawat Heathrow is a halal restaurant in Slough, reached by road from the airport area.

Where Dawat Heathrow is, and where it is not

Dawat Heathrow is at Crown Meadow, London Road, Slough SL3 0LU. To be clear, it is not inside Terminal 5 and not on airport property, and it is not a walk from any terminal. You will need a car, taxi or local bus to reach it. By road, Google Maps showed these fastest drive times to the restaurant on 15 October 2026:

  • Terminal 2: about 15 minutes (4.8 miles) via the A4.
  • Terminal 3: about 17 minutes (4.8 miles) via the A4.
  • Terminal 4: about 18 minutes (6.2 miles) via Southern Perimeter Road and the A4.
  • Terminal 5: about 14 minutes (4.5 miles) via Stanwell Moor Road (A3044) and the A4.

Journey times vary with traffic, so check a live estimate on the day and enter the postcode SL3 0LU into your maps app.

Getting there and parking

By car or taxi, use the postcode SL3 0LU. There is a car park beside the restaurant, signed as public parking; check the sign for any charges and time limits. For buses or trains, use an up-to-date journey planner, as routes and timetables change.

What to eat

Dawat serves Pakistani and Indian dishes, and the kitchen is fully halal. Dawat Heathrow is a franchise of the halal-certified Dawat Group. Good first choices are from the menu:

  • Samosa chaat or papri chaat to start.
  • Mixed grill, with lamb chops, seekh kebabs, lamb tikka, chicken tikka and crispy wings, finished with chilli sauce.
  • Chicken karahi, a tomato masala with ginger, green chilli and fresh coriander.
  • Biryani: chicken, lamb, royal or prawn.

Curries can be made mild or hot to suit you. Shahi Butter Chicken is the mildest option, while Chicken Madras and Lamb Madras are the hottest dishes. Just tell the team how spicy you like it.

If you are short on time

If you have a flight or a shift to get back to, tell the team when you sit down so they can help you plan your order. If time is very tight, an outlet inside the airport will be quicker; Heathrow lists its restaurants on its own website.

Staying at a hotel nearby?

Dawat is not within walking distance of the terminals, so you will need to drive or take a taxi. Drive times from each terminal are listed above; for hotels, please check the route in a maps app. For groups, see venue hire.
